shit.

haven’t written anything in awhile. i was trying to go kinda regular with updates and whatnot, but i can’t even do that. forgot to send the rma for the d-link ap, which expired..shit. not sure what to do with it know. might need to find something that it would work with, but i’ve got a feeling there’s not much that’d work. time sure flies when you’re infected and ill and whatnot. loving every second of it, really.

now, i know i mentioned the security update shit for work a few days back or a week back or whatever— now i’m doubly sure: our clients are goddamned idiots. a day hasn’t gone by since the security update shit that i haven’t gotten a call from some accusatory retard with no typing skills that feels it’s my fault that they can’t type. or it’s my fault that their lack of security locks their account. yeah. totally my fault. idiots. there’s also a new breed of moron associated with the moron incapable of typing: the password memory moron. new passwords must have at least 1 number and be 6 chars long. someone was actually irritated that their password of “ab” wasn’t acceptable, and was even more irritated that they couldn’t use 123456 that they hung up on me.

watched a marathon of deep sea detectives/modern marvels today. learned lots. got mexican antibiotics.

leaving for boulder in like..10 days. woot. gonna do stuff in boulder. woot again.

i’m really wanting to get back into writing music again. i’ve not done it for a long time, but every so often i get this bug up my ass to write music. essentially, it ends up being me on duplexed guitars and bass guitar with a drum machine. i don’t know many musicians that i get along with. only person i ever really did get along with has a kid now and doesn’t do anything without his wife. sorta understandable, but ridiculous at the same time.

at any rate. time to go.

loads of fun today. why is that, you ask? our software company released some security updates for our client operations today. that’s not such a bad thing in itself, but they didn’t release a new version of our provider software that helps us deal with the repercussions of some of the new security. for instance, if a client fails to enter their password 2 times, it locks their account. since we don’t have a new version of provider, we have no direct way other than nulling and resetting their password to unlock the account. loads of fun, considering how many of our clients are as efficient at typing as they are at closing loans.

8 locked accounts and counting… lots of fun.

still sick.

so..a few days later, i still feel like ass. sore throat, fever, etc. loads of fun if you ask me. went ot the bank today to deposit my paycheck, and the bank teller decided it’d be a good day to put my checks on a 7 day hold because of them originating from out-of-state banks. real fucking cute. i went inside and had a conversation with the teller manager who looked at my account and saw that i’d deposited checks from this same account/company since september. she apologized profusely for the dumb bitch, but it was still a waste of time. i have 30 mins for lunch, it takes 25-30 mins to get to the bank and back, so they successfully made me late for work..and as you may or may not know, i fucking hate being late for absolutely anything.

tonight, i go to petsmart, get cat/dog/fish food items..and order a coccyx support cushion. exciting all around. i just was in an argument with some client that decided that the reason she couldn’t open a PDF credit report was that our website doesn’t work. now, when people make claims like this, i really like to prove them wrong by logging into their account and viewing the file in question myself. of course, this hideous wench decided it’d be way cool to call me a liar. not. nice. anyway, after she continued to argue, i told her if she wasn’t willing to try what i was asking her to try, then i can’t help her. lo and behold, adobe reader is so badly damaged it won’t even start. hur hur. must be our website…stupid bitch.

i think i’m getting sick. actually, i think i am already sick. blugh. i was hoping since i rarely go out that i’d be able to escape illness this year, but alas.

went and picked up an AP today, and it works. d-link can suck my pee pee as far as i’m concerned. it’s sad when i can get a product that’s half the price, has more features and looks way cooler..and did i tell you it also works correctly? muaahaha.

anyway, i’m gonna down some nyquil (yes, it’s 7:00 PM MST) and i’m gonna sleep, and hopefully, HOPEFULLY, i’ll feel better. wish me luck.

nothing going on. still trying to get a new ap so i’m not tethered to my desk while i work. no luck so far. watched lord of war and some other movie w/edward burns in it last night. lord of war was absolutely badass and i totally recommend it. i like nicholas cage a lot, and he really shined a lot in lord of war. i went to look at amazon to see what versions are available, and there are a few. i pulled up the item statistics and the reviews for the movie put it at 2.5 stars. wtf? upon closer investigation, i found a lot of reviews that were very similar to those of syriana: a movie that serves the cowardice and sneaky lefty agendas, liberals are stupid; why can’t they leave their politics out of movies? etc. etc. what’s REALLY funny though, is that the movie is political, and is based on true events..and most of it unfolded during the reagan and bush sr. years. go figure, right? to the people who can’t be entertained without blowing an aneurysm i say: fuck you, retards.   the best part of these people is that if you look at their review history, they’re giving the worst films in hollywood (i.e. remakes of remakes of remakes) the best ratings ever. like.. WOAH THIS MOVIE IS TOTALLY LIKE SOME FILM I SAW 30 YEARS AGO, A PLUS MOTHERFUCKERS! yeah. really. it reminds you of a movie from 30 years ago? that’s amazing, because in remaking a movie from 30 years ago, hollywood was trying not to make it look totally different. go drink some cyanide or something, inbred hillbilly retards.

we got absolutely no snow. lying weatherpeople. IT LOOKS LIKE SNOW AND SHIT. but no. no snow. lots of wind, but absolutely no precip. boulder, of course, is getting absolutely pummelled with snow. i really hope it doesn’t do it while we’re up there in march–that’s the last thing we need is to get snowed in our hotel room for a week because mother nature decided it would be a good opportunity to dump 30 inches of snow on the ground. i was born in april, in boulder. the day i was born, my parents got snowed into the hospital for 2 days. 30″ of snow on the ground. that’s exactly what i don’t want.
