bah.
bad fucking week so far.
my mom took out her IRA, which was okay since she’s 55, but she didn’t keep enough of it to take care of the additional taxes that the government decided to levy. how did i find this out, you ask? i was doing her taxes, and the “tax due” amount hit 30,000 USD. i totally understand the use of the money paying off credit cards and shit like that, but the fact that she lent a bunch of this money to friends of hers, who have yet to pay her back, really depresses me. when i told her, the first reaction from her was that she wanted to sell the house. gg. don’t jump off the handle or anything. i’m supposed to call the IRS, but they’re useless. i’m just going to tell her that they recommended that she speak with a cpa. she said she doesn’t want to sell the house anymore, but i’m not sure if i want to stay. i’ve been helping with as much as i can, and it’s depressing that my assistance has gone…unacknowledged. i’m looking at getting an apartment in the next month or two. i might need to try to dissuade myself from doing it for the time being, but i’m not sure.
so.. apparently, the guy that the office admin got to “look at the network” decided that we didn’t need any ports open, and thusly has locked me out of the servers in the office. isn’t that cool? i called and asked about it, and the office admin had no idea what i was talking about, but she’d put in a call with with the guy to get it fixed. idiots.

unfortunately, i have no words of wisdom or anything (per usual) but i do have a *HUG*.
i add to that hug a pat on the head.
i’m glad it’s all sort of resolved now. it would’ve been neat if you moved out though!
