it’s just what i suspected– it’s not the cost per barrel of oil that’s causing the price of gasolne to skyrocket. it’s because the oil companies are profiteering off of american consumers’ fuel purchasing. they’ve had record profits, but think they need more oil. what makes me happier about this? the fact that the federal government, the governing body of the country, are not doing a fucking thing about forcing oil companies to stop their shit.
