cleaning up
i went and deleted my last.fm and myspace profiles. the deletion of the myspace account was more the result of the fact that i never really used it and i was getting spammed extremely frequently. go figure. i deleted last.fm because the site is getting less and less functional since their buyout by CBS, and i don’t like the idea of supporting them.
i’m not sure what i’ve done to anger the gods of banking..
i have the worst luck in the world when it comes to financial institutions. i never had any trouble with the USNMFCU but had to stop banking there because of some family issues. i opened an account with the bank of albuquerque, and on three separate occaisions, when i’d go deposit my paycheck, the receipt would indicate my account number and the amount of money in the transaction but the system would deposit it in someone else’s acct. so i gave up on them and opened an account with bank of america. i’ve previously used them and they’ve got the hideous big bank attitude and in general, they suck. my opinion of them was reaffirmed yesterday when i noticed that my paycheck deposit, made on tuesday, had totally vanished from my account. i figured it might be another bounced paycheck so i called b of a’s customer service. the rep told me at first that it was a bounced check, but when he actually looked at my account he didn’t see a transaction at all. it simply fucking vanished. my boss looked at the payroll account, which showed that the check had cleared and had been deposited..into someone’s account, but….dun dun dun- there was no account number. so essentially, the money’s hanging out somewhere in the bank of america network. they have no clue where it is or why it disappeared from my account. all i know is that they better fucking eat all the overdraft and NSF fees i’m going to accrue because of it or i’ll have to kick some people in the head.

yay. finally got to see jesu perform last night at the launchpad. they were supposed to come through earlier this year with isis, but had some issues getting visas from the dept of homeland security. at any rate, the show was excellent because they had a hired soundman to do their audio rather than relying on one of the in-house guys from the launchpad.
it was really awesome getting to see justin perform and also having the opportunity to briefly speak with him after the show– he’s been kind of an idol of mine for a long time. he’s played with napalm death and fronted godflesh, final and now jesu. his music is amazing and he’s extremely down to earth.
if you’ve never experienced justin’s music, you should check it out. it’s amazing.
team fortress 2
lots of us have been waiting for team fortress 2 to be released. after like..8 years, it’ll finally be coming to fruition soon. i played the beta, and the cartoony characters and everything are really well done and the game feels totally organic. it’s a blast.
