osx + g3 = sad
so, as i figured, OSX doesn’t run terribly well on an old g3. 10.3.9 felt really sluggish, input from the keyboard dragged ass a lot of the time, terminal.app doesn’t handle ANSI color correctly, etc etc. i ended up removing OSX and replaced it with a barebones ubuntu install with no GUI. i installed xorg, [...]

i bought a 2001 500MHz G3 iBook for use as a terminal machine. i likes it. 576MB RAM Aircard (irritating: supports TKIP WPA but not AES) OSX 10.3.9 10GB HDD set it up to use zsh (IT’S FOR WIZARDS.)
