the wagon ™ has a new home. a nice dude who works as a logistics person @ kirtland bought it from me today. i was sad to see it go, but it seems like it’s gone to a good home. so long, wagon.

forgot to mention that i got a new vehicle. it’s an ’05 dodge dakota. managed to get financing without much of a hitch, which totally surprised me given all the trouble i’d figured i would have.

i’ve never had a car payment in my life. after getting my first car, i had it from age 16 up until february of last year (8 years, pretty much), when it was hit by some drunk fuckwit in the parking lot and i had to scrap it. i was changing jobs and needed more reliable transportation, so i got The Wagon ™. now, because of the fact that bernalillo doesn’t exempt vehicles 30+ years old from emissions testing (CA does this..CALIFORNIA.) i need to get a new vehicle since The Wagon ™ won’t pass. it has no cats and it has leaky valve stem seals (it smokes). so..yeah.
trying to find financing as a “first-time car buyer” is a joke. my credit history is painfully short, since no bank would give me a “first credit card” until ’07. i’ve never financed anything, never had student loans, etc. so it’s going to be an interesting/painful process for me.
